Section 4 includes the much-anticipated bridge that will connect FM 2499 in Highland Village with FM 2181 in the City of Corinth, traversing a portion of Lake Lewisville. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is being planned in conjunction with the City and the County to be held the morning of October 30, prior to the official opening of the road. Ed Bell Construction finished the project ahead of schedule with the opening now set for October 30. FM 2499 Section 4 is a four-lane divided urban arterial from FM 407 to FM 2181 in southern Denton County. The roadway would be a non-controlled access facility, 4.7 miles in length, with intersections at existing crossing roads.
